About Me

My name is Anna Caryn and I specialize in lifestyle photography. I am a graduate of UNC Wilmington with a degree in Biology and Middle Eastern and Islamic studies. I stumbled into photography as a result being raised in a fashion oriented household and traveling a lot throughout my life. I grew up in a household where Vogue magazine was in my hands at the age of 3. My mother, FIT graduate was an assistant to Donna Karen, and my grandmother was a master seamstress for Oscar De La Renta. Art , fashion and photography have always been a huge part of my life.  I was born and raised an island girl in Oahu Hawaii. I traveled across the United States countless times(by car north and south road trips), Mexico, South America, Canada and my second home the Caribbean. I love exploring cultures and learning new things from the people I meet.  I am also a huge New York Giants and Yankees fan. I love running, coffee( survival fluid next to water), reading, music, traveling, anything that can physically and mentally challenge me (yes I am a little competitive GO GIANTS!) and of course photography. In my work I try to capture not only the moment but the emotions that  is unique to us all. I analyze my work thoroughly and I can work comfortably in any situation that is given (thank you military training).
